How do I use AI?

There are lots of uses for AI beyond just creating pictures of ‘Shrimp Jesus’ and other miscellaneous slop, but the most personal example I have of it being super useful has been to talk into the computer, and it edits it down and asks me questions for clarity.

I wrote the script like this.

I wrote the caption like this.

This is particularly poignant with me being dyslexic.

One of the big things that, 15 years ago, they said to use was to actually start talking into a dictaphone. Occasionally, you would see me with this recorder, like the one you see doctors have in films, for my notes, mumbling to myself.

The problem I have with that is that it didn't allow me to go back over the notes so easily.

With Smart Dictation (there was one called Dragon Dictate at that time as well), it gets it all down as if I were typing or writing on to the screen into a document.

The problem I have with using LLMs for ideas is that it just ends up frustrating me. It's never quite right. It never really hits the mark for what I had pictured in my head, and so I usually find that starting afresh is just the better option for me.

While AI can’t generate me a permit, in recent software updates, it's got pretty good at ageing me over the course of a video. Can you tell?
