Hello Hello,
If you feel your Meta ads have been wobbling about lately, you’re not imagining things.
META Wobbly Jelly - META Ads and Enhancements: If you feel your Meta ads have been wobbling about lately, you’re not imagining things. There are many things at play (such as Andromeda). Still, a big one, I have noticed the automated 'enhancements' that typically favour platform scale and speed at the expense of nuance.
For things like classical music or opera, the results are often accidentally comedic. Meta's 'add music' function (which is default ON) dynamically forces audio onto your assets, resulting in comedic results, and not in a good way.
Your dashboard might show rising engagement. Still, for every person who has a giggle or a grumble in the comments, there are twenty more forming a negative impression before slipping away. First impressions do matter, and it is with looking at Richard Shotton’s experiment with Black Sheep vodka that we see how even things like which word is placed first in a sentence/description affect things.
Of course, if you are deliberately creating a bit of friction with a jarring contrast, that can work wonders, and I hugely encourage it.
But it only works if your intent is crystal clear. Otherwise, your bold move just looks like a mistake. And people do not readily forgive mistakes.
